Gokayama

It is a village located in the southwest of Toyama Prefecture, and is registered as a World Cultural Heritage Site for its preservation of the Japanese architectural style known as “Gassho-style”. Surrounded by mountains, it remains a place where traditional scenery is still present.

Shirakawa-go

Shirakawa-go is located in the Shogawa river basin in Gifu Prefecture, known as Hida no Kuni, and is a popular sightseeing spot visited by 1.4 million people each year. Together with Gokayama, it has been registered with the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites as the “Historic Villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama”.

Takayama is a city located in the northern part of Gifu Prefecture, also known as Hida Takayama. The Joka-machi and Shoka-machi districts, dating back to the Edo era, have been preserved as historic sites, and feature many national designated cultural assets and long-established shops. Takayama is also known for its hot springs and handicrafts.

For SHORYUDO Bus Pass users:
Before boarding the highway buses to Shirakawa-go and Takayama, you must make a seat reservation and obtain your ticket at the Hokuriku Rail Road Ticket Center located near Platform 4 at the west exit of Kanazawa Station. Please note that for buses to Toyama, Komatsu Airport, and the Noto Peninsula, you can simply show your Shoryudo Bus Pass to board the bus.
