The Hakusan Geopark Line, also known as the Hokuriku Railroad Ishikawa Line, is a railway line that connects Kanazawa and the foothills of Mt. Hakusan with a half-hour ride. The landscape along the line has been shaped by volcanic activity and the passage of time, and today, it is rich in water sources and full of seasonal beauty, with places throughout to experience the joys of Hakusan Geopark.
Take the Hakusan Geopark Line out toward Mt. Hakusan and transfer to a bus, for instance, and you can be at the Shiramine Important Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings in just an hour and a half. Enjoy a casual outing from Kanazawa, for a day trip full of nature and culture.
